About The Velo Fellow

The Velo Fellow was born of fond memories and the anticipation of good times with friends and family, new and old. The haunts and watering holes we have experienced in other locales each contributed something to what we have brought together.

We pay homage to the ongoing British publick house tradition, the art and music of today and of course the foothills community of Greenville. The history of the Piedmont and foothills live on in our reclaimed woods, furniture and artifacts.

Our fare is meant to comfort and compliment our ever intriguing array of craft brews, wines and unique spirits. This is the publick house we wanted in our own neighborhood. We hope you agree.

Such a great find! This was my second trip to Greenville. My friends and I stumbled upon this spot by accident but have decided that it is a must for all future trips! Everything was fantastic from the beer selection to the blueberry cake, and the awesome people working there. The astmosphere was on point and we all cant wait to come back! Thanks for adding a little more awesomeness to an already great trip!

LOVE.THIS.PLACE. Went last night to help a teacher friend celebrate end-of-the-school-year and really had a chill, good time. We’ll be regulars for sure!

I’m startled and intrigued. 25 years ago I wrote under the nom de plume Velo Felo. I look forward to visiting. Learned about you from Edible Upcountry.

Came to see Shannon Hoover solo bass about a month ago. Great space, great food! Interesting music acts – keep up the good work! We need live music in Greenville, especially original tunes. It’s wonderful to see a venue that “has it all!”

  14. JZ says:

I’ve only been a couple of times, but the tofu marsala is amazing!! And, the staff have all been very fun to be around. Those two things together with awesome beer and a very chill environment make the Velo Fellow a unique experience that Greenville needs so badly. I can’t wait to come back!

  15. JB says:

Eating dinner and having beer with a friend there tonight – I can’t wait!

Finally made it down to your restaurant…and fell in love! Love the decor, the food, and the staff (I think our server’s name was Nathan). Best fish and chips in town, and we’ve had it at most places that serve it! Thank you! We will be back!

  18. Dustin Martin says:

Proud of you Kirk! Glad things are going well. Now all I have to do is come to Greenville!

  19. Jan says:

This certainly sounds like a wonderful place to visit, which I intend to do very soon. I love unique places with ambiance.

  20. Jeffey Harmon says:

had fish & chips there on a friday evening. it was horrible, the fish was undercooked and cold the chips were swimming in grease, literally dripping. this is a gastropub? they don’t even have the rudimentary fish & chips correct. service was what you would expect from the laconically comical bored. oh, but how crowded was it, were they slammed with dinner crowd… no & no. hang out for the dazed & confused with expensive drinks, yeah probably, gastropub, nope.

All I have to say is my mouth is watering right now.

The Hood and Boot is the most delicious salad. Topped with a bottled coke. It was all I needed for dinner tonight.

Thanks, Velo Fellow! (That last comment was from my tummy.)
